How to Start

The QuantGov library is a companion to the QuantGov Platform. It provides an easy way to start a new project, quantify documents, and analyze data. To install the library, run pip install quantgov on a system with Python installed. For more detailed instructions, check out the new QuantGov Platform tutorial, which will walk users through all of the basics of the platform, including detailed instructions on how to install Python on both Windows and Mac systems.

 

How to Contribute

  1. Create your own unique data and tell us about it!

  2. Check out and get involved with the Policy Analytics Society.

  3. Check for open GitHub issues or open a fresh GitHub issue to start a discussion around a feature idea or a bug.

  4. Fork the repository on GitHub to start making your changes to the dev branch (or branch off of it).

  5. Write a tests for current QuantGov features or bugs that were recently fixed.

  6. Send a pull request for a bug and add yourself as an official QuantGov contributor and author.
